A little bit About Me: I was inspired to start this blog while doing a 21 Day Let’s Get Healthy Challenge on Facebook. I loved bringing the community together and encouraging each other to make healthy choices.
The purpose of this blog is to share my journey through life, also share my passion for healthy living food, yoga, travel and holistic health with you. I see each day as an opportunity to learn something new, to laugh, to grow and to be challenged. Remember if we stay in tune with our mind, body and spirit we will experience joy, good health & true happiness. I am the owner of a yoga studio, Shanti Shala Yoga & Wellness Center.
I have been a vegetarian for about 11 years and never considered being a vegan. My wonderful daughter Sharnese, inspired my journey to becoming a vegan. I always thought it would be very difficult and limiting and boy was I wrong. Even though it’s been a short time (12/27/14) being vegan is amazing and life changing. It opened up a whole new world of eating and a deeper compassion towards animals.
I believe that food should be FUN, and it should fuel you to live an active life that makes you happy. I’m here to help inspire you to do a few things:
breathe ~ relax ~ love & listen to your body ~ exercise ~ eat good food ~ fall in love with your life ~ spend time with people you love ~ be passionate and have fun.
There are so many things I love to do, here are a few… motorcycle riding (own a victory vision), hiking, photography, painting and making jewelry. I tend to live in the moment and flow with ease and grace through life.
I decided to blog because it makes me happy to share. Blogging to share happiness, makes sense to me!
